New Study Published in December issue of Continence Journal

We are pleased to be able to highlight a new study published in the December issue of Continence Journal. It was initiated by Swiss and UK research institutions and was supported by funding from the Bern MedTech Collaboration Call.

The study uses a computational framework to quantitatively assess and compare the performance of three urinary catheter designs across metrics linked to patient outcomes. (The Foley catheter, FLUME catheter and one other

The study found the Foley catheter consistently underperformed across all metrics. While computational rather than clinical, it gives encouragement for the inherent benefits of the FLUME catheter configuration.
